Hi, I’m Jeanette—owner and operator of Walks & Wags. I offer a boutique-style dog-walking service focused on safety, enrichment, and truly personal connection.

I’m not a big, corporate company with anonymous walkers. I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 13 years serving San Francisco’s pet families, but my experience goes back even further. Before moving to California, I co-owned and helped operate a successful dog daycare franchise, building it from the ground up. That experience taught me how to manage groups safely, create enriching routines, and earn the trust of both dogs and their families.

When I moved to California, I dreamed of opening my own daycare here. But with the high costs, I quickly realized there was an even better way to do what I love most: giving dogs real outdoor adventures. Now I provide exercise, socialization, enrichment, and extra TLC—all out in the fresh air, exploring the beautiful parks and open spaces of the Bay Area and Marin.

I also bring a professional medical background, with experience in emergency medicine, cardiopulmonary care, and primary care settings. That work taught me calm, attentive problem-solving and a deep sense of responsibility. I’m certified in CPR and first aid for both humans and dogs, so you can trust your pup is always in safe, capable hands.

Because I believe in lifelong learning, I’ve been studying at The Academy for Dog Trainers for a while. It’s taking me a little longer to graduate because I’m out with dogs every day, but I’m dedicated to deepening my knowledge of modern, positive, humane training. I truly love seeing dogs learn and thrive—and I bring everything I learn back to the dogs I care for.

How Our Pricing Works

Our flat-rate membership is simple, fair, and rewards consistent participation. Rates are calculated on an annual average of ~20 service days per month (after subtracting federal holidays and planned closure days).

That means in months with 21–23 walking days, you often get bonus adventure days at no extra cost!

This keeps our pack consistent, well-socialized, and offers real savings over pay-per-walk rates.

Your busy life shouldn’t mean your dog gets anything less than excellent care. With over 12 years of professional experience, CPR and first-aid certifications for both humans and dogs, and dozens of five-star reviews, you can rely on me for safe, loving, and consistent service.

Just get in touch through the contact form, email, or phone. We’ll schedule a meet-and-greet to make sure it’s the perfect fit!

I keep groups small and carefully curated for safety and real socialization.

Yes! I use only modern, humane, positive-reinforcement methods for training and communication.

How do you keep dogs safe in the car?

My SUV is fully ventilated and temperature-monitored with Waggle. Dogs ride in crates or on beds with a safety barrier. There’s even a front-seat dog car seat for the rotating “copilot”!
